The word Nostalgia appeared for the first time the 22th of june in 1688, created by Johannes Hofer, alsacian student to describe in his medecine thesis the feelings of the swiss soldiers suffering far away from their mountains.

Le mot nostalgie a été inventé le 22 juin 1688 par Johannes Hofer, un étudiant alsacien qui a décrit dans sa thèse en médecine le mal dont souffraient les soldats suisses éloignés de leurs montagnes.
